The fun thing about colours is that they are one of those wonderful topics that applies to just about everything. A Quick Run-Down on the Science of Colour:

When you look at a red balloon, you are not seeing a balloon emitting a red colour. What the balloon is actually doing is absorbing all colours except red; the red light waves are actually bouncing off the red balloon: this is what you see.

The Colour of Emotion:

Think of the everyday english language. How many times is a colour mentioned in relation to an emotion? Red with anger, green with jealousy, black rage, feeling blue. Words that define colour also help us define emotion. How do you feel when you are 'bright'? Do you know someone who always seems 'dark'? There are many 'shades' of emotions.

Colour Sense - the basics

Sit quietly and think of the colour. See it absorbing itself into your aura/chakras/emotions. How does it make you feel? Let it surround you and become a part of you. Does it make you angry, sad, cold, warm? Carefully examine how each colour makes you feel, one per day, through all the colours. Write down your interpretations, and add to them whenever something new occurs. Don't worry if something sounds silly; trust your emotions. In time you may find that understanding the colours enriches your understanding of many other things, too.
